Fragil_Stabil 1.3

The world is changing, digitalization, climate change, loss of biodiversity and geopolitical structures are the buzzwords that play a decisive role in this context...In his book "The Metamorphosis of the World", sociologist Ulrich Beck speaks not only of change in the world, but of metamorphosis. That is, a transformation that produces something else with a completely new appearance. This is the perspective of homo sapiens with its specific perception. Nature, however, remains stable in the sense of its constitution. The biological, physical laws continue to apply. In the long run, nature will defy man, as a part of itself. In the installation with live performance STABIL-FRAGIL 1.3, the artist deals with this phenomenon. She deals with the theme of becoming and passing away and raises questions about the process of transformation of the world. A metamorphosis with an unknown outcome. Her live performance, which lasts about 20 minutes, leads into her room installation, which is accompanied by a video work. Materials and objects are used to create a symbolic visual language. The images inspire the viewer to make associations and raise questions about the relationship between people and nature, as well as the duality of nature and culture. The installation, in which the performance ends, shows various objects that form a complete work through the nature of their material and their spatial arrangement. The materials used are, for example, human hair, bark from trees destroyed by the bark beetle, spruce needles, and dead insects. The collection of these in the run-up to the creative process is an important part of the whole process. During the sorting and ordering process, a kind of relationship between the material and the artist develops, which is especially important in the performances and supports the intensity of the works.
